Girls just want to have fun!

There’s a special magic in events that serve as touchstones in our lives – reunions, milestone birthdays, holidays.

There are also events that build our organizations and communities – golf tournaments, ceremonies, corporate events, holiday parties.

I consider it a delight and honor to be the observer, the one who captures the faces, the joy, the poignant moments that tell your story and enable you, your family and friends or organization to relive an event again and again for years to come.

What’s especially special about working with me is that the Event Organizer gets all edited files in print and web resolution for any personal or commercial use!


Before the shoot, we’ll go over what shots and groupings of people you consider important, the logistics and timing of the event.
I show up at the event with my professional camera equipment and necessary lighting. I move around the event as inconspicuously as possible, capturing the shots we discussed, as well as serendipitous candids and details of the setting – like the food and decorations.

If desired, we could set up a ‘Portrait Place’ – like at prom, where individuals, couples, groups would come for more formal shots.

After the event, I go through the photos, delete the duds, do some minor editing and cropping. I upload the images to a website for your review and selection. Selected images are ‘polished’ as requested (One round of edits included in the fee).

Once images are finalized, they are uploaded to Dropbox (or other medium as requested) for the delivery to the Event Organizer.

THIS IS HUGE – the organizer gets all edited files in print and web resolution for any personal or commercial use!

I’ll also upload the images to Zenfolio, a top quality photo printing service where event attendees are able to order top quality prints and gifts, or buy file downloads.

My hourly rate of $150/hr (timed from arrival to departure at the event – two hour minimum) includes:

  • Pre-event consult, on location if we feel it’s important and practical
  • Transport to/from event (greater Portland Oregon area)
  • Event shoot
  • Post-event image edits (delete duds, cropping, ‘light’ enhancing) of my choice and one round of requested edits on client-selected images
  • Posting images to image-sharing site for viewing, sharing and purchase
  • Event organizer gets all edited images download-able from Dropbox or via DVD – one set sized for print, the other sized for web (for use by organizer or organization)


  • A second photographer – additional $50/hr
  • Photo booth setup – $50
  • Vintage hats, scarves, props – $75
  • Additional edits of your choice would be an additional $40/hr
  • Purchase of files, prints for event attendees available separately
